Most excellent experience. Chef able to provide full Vegan choice menu, with canaps, starters main and dessert. If the Tudor Period is your favourite historical era then stay in The Dukes Bedchamber in the octagonal tower, where Henry and Anne stayed for ten days in 1535. No complaints of any nature. Room, staff and fare all met the highest standards.
Wonderful sense of peace and presence, dispute some of the associated history. A truly exceptional place to stay with an exquisite dining experience, catering for all tastes. Presentation, wonderful, different and balanced tastes and just being well looked after, was a complete joy. The Vegan menu not only offered choice but complete satisfaction.
This was a fantastic place to stay, my partner and myself both really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a deluxe bed chamber which was a very large spacious room with an open fire place and four poster bed. The place was spotless and had everything you could possibly want. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was nice, the building was beautiful and the area was lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will return.
Stopped over here on the way back from Wales. One of the very best places we have stayed. Front of house was superb on our arrival giving very helpful information. Husband's car was stuck in the car park but thanks to four very helpful chefs was soon rectified. Fabulous room, lovely and quiet, delicious food and wonderful staff. We will visit again as soon as we can.
Beautiful hotel. Beautiful food. Staff were excellent. Very professional yet very friendly with it. Spent the night in the Elizabeth suite which was gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back soon. And remember this is a real castle... Can't be beat for a romantic stay away.
