As long as you arrive at non peak times you'll find a space. They are a but outdated with not keeping up with car sizes, unaware that they are wider than forty years ago. Two hours limit for free, not bad but don't complain if you get a ticket and fine for overstaying... It's only fair !

When every other council seeks to maximise car parks it was refreshing to park here. Had to ask five people to confirm it was a free car park, thats how unusual this idea is.
Thornbury shopping is so easy with the car parks where they are, very user friendly, the big car park has barriers (2m high) but the smaller car park does not, if you are in a van you might get lucky.
